The welding workbench is the main learning tool of CS WAVE. It is a robust motorised workbench providing a wide screen display and is equipped with real welding tools (so far, CS WAVE integrates a torch and an electrode handle). These tools are not only dedicated to the welding simulation but also to the navigation through the workbench interface.
Versatile
CS WAVE workbench can host several welding processes. So far, SMAW (111) and GMAW (135) processes has been integrated. Depending on the training needs, one or more processes can be installed on the workbench. Each workbench is completly independent and versatile.
Adaptable
Display system is motorised. It can be switched between horizontal and vertical positions
to provide a wide range of exercise situations. Moreover, it can be setup to each user.
At starting time, the user is asked to define his best horizontal and vertical position.
Then, each time this user returns to work on CS WAVE, the workbench will position itself
at the user-defined level..
Teaching
The welding workbench is also a perfect tool for learning assistance for the trainer. CS WAVE vocal navigation system guides the user through the interface at any time. Moreover, at the end of an exercise, the workbench provides a complete set of tools to help trainee to analyse his results and understand his mistakes.
Connected
To install a workbench, you will only need an outlet. Nevertheless, each workbench is also equipped with a network plug. If a network is installed, workbench can identify itself and start communicating with an existing CS WAVE server. Thanks to this feature, workbenchs are automatically updated when teaching processes are changed. On the same way, they will send in realtime information concerning trainees progression and results to the central server.
